Spin & Go tournaments have a unique prize structure that requires specific strategic adjustments.

Prize Pool Structure

Spin & Go uses a random multiplier (2x-10,000x) for the prize pool. Most games are 2x (winner-take-all), making the base strategy very different from standard SNGs.

Winner-Take-All Implications

In a 2x Spin & Go, only first place pays. This means:

**No ICM pressure**: Play chip-EV optimal, not ICM-adjusted

**More aggressive**: You should take slightly +EV spots that you would pass in SNGs

**Wider ranges**: Open and defend wider than in standard SNGs

Preflop Strategy

**Open wider**: ~50%+ from the BTN/SB

**3-bet more aggressively**: Since there is no ICM, 3-betting is more profitable

**Call wider from BB**: Pot odds favor defending with a wide range

Postflop Strategy

**Play for stacks**: When you have an edge, get chips in the middle

**Thin value**: Bet for thin value more aggressively than in ICM-weighted SNGs

**Bluff more**: Opponents will call too tight if they are used to SNG ICM pressure

High Multiplier Adjustments
