Stone cold nuts is when you have the absolute best hand with no possible way to be beaten. Unlike the regular nuts, stone cold nuts means you cannot lose even if the board changes dramatically on later streets.
Example
With As-Ks on a board of Qs-Js-2c-3c-4c, you have the stone cold nuts - the royal flush.
