C-Bet (Continuation Bet)
C-Bet(持续下注)
A continuation bet (c-bet) is a bet made by the player who took the last aggressive action preflop, continuing that aggression on the flop. C-betting is effective because the preflop raiser has a range advantage on most board textures. Modern strategy uses smaller c-bet sizes at higher frequencies, rather than the older approach of larger bets with fewer bluffs.
Example
You raise preflop with AK and the flop comes 7♠ 4♦ 2♣. You c-bet half pot even though you missed.
