Your 30-Day GTO Poker Transformation

Learning GTO poker can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? What should you study first? How do you know if you're improving? This structured 30-day plan breaks GTO training into manageable daily sessions using free tools, so you build a solid strategy foundation step by step.

Week 1: Preflop Fundamentals (Days 1-7)

The first week focuses entirely on preflop play — the foundation of every poker hand. You'll learn position-based ranges, understand why certain hands are played from certain positions, and internalize the logic behind GTO preflop strategy.

Day 1-2: Understanding Position

Study why position is the most important factor in poker. Review the six positions (UTG, MP, CO, BTN, SB, BB) and understand the information advantage of acting last. Use the Range Wizard to see how ranges widen dramatically from early to late position.

Day 10-11: Defending Against Opens

Learn when to call, 3-bet, or fold when facing raises from different positions. Focus on small blind and big blind defense — the most commonly misplayed positions.

Day 12-13: Facing 3-Bets

Study optimal responses to 3-bets: when to 4-bet, call, or fold. Learn about the 4-bet bluff with hands like A5s that have blocker value.

Day 14: Week 2 Review

Test your 3-betting knowledge with 25 Spot Trainer scenarios. You should now be able to make reasonable preflop decisions in most situations.

Week 3: Postflop Fundamentals (Days 15-21)

Week 3 transitions to postflop play. You'll learn about board textures, c-betting strategy, and how position affects postflop decisions.

Day 15-16: Board Texture Analysis

Learn to categorize flop textures (dry, semi-connected, wet) and understand how they affect both players' ranges. Dry boards favor the preflop raiser; wet boards help the caller.

Day 17-18: C-Betting Strategy

Study when to continuation bet and when to check. Learn about small c-bet sizes (25-33% pot) on favorable boards and checking back on不利 boards. Practice in the Spot Trainer.

Day 19-20: Facing Bets

Learn the minimum defense frequency (MDF) concept and when to call, raise, or fold against postflop bets. Understand pot odds and how they relate to your equity.

Week 4: Advanced Topics and Integration (Days 22-30)

The final week covers advanced topics and integrates everything you've learned into a cohesive strategy.

Day 22-24: Turn and River Play

Study multi-street decision making. Learn about double-barreling, check-raising, and river bluffing frequencies. These are the most complex decisions in poker, so take your time.

Day 25-27: Using the GTO Solver
