Short Answer
The best flop raise spots occur when you have enough nut hands, the board is dynamic, the opponent uses a small size, and your bluffs have equity or blockers. Raising only value is transparent; raising only draws lacks value density.
Value Raises
Value raises come from sets, two pair, strong top pairs, and some powerful combo draws. They build the pot immediately on dynamic boards and punish small-bet strategies.
Bluff Raises
Good bluffs are not pure air. They have future equity or block strong continues: flush draws, straight draws, backdoor equity, and key blockers. When called, they can still improve.
When To Raise Less
On static dry boards, if the opponent has clear nut advantage, your raising range can become too thin. Against large bets, be stricter because the opponent is already polarized.
