Multiway pots (3+ players) require significant strategy adjustments from heads-up play.

Key Differences

**Tighten your ranges**: With more opponents, you need stronger hands to contest the pot

**Reduced bluff value**: Bluffs work less often because someone is more likely to have a strong hand

**Value bet purely**: Multiway betting should be heavily weighted toward value

**Preflop raiser**: Still has range advantage but it's diluted across multiple opponents

**Position matters even more**: Acting last with multiple opponents provides enormous information

**Nutted hands rule**: Having the absolute best hand matters more than in heads-up pots

**C-bet less frequently**: The more opponents, the less often you should c-bet

**Bet sizing**: Use larger sizes when you do bet, as you need to get through multiple players
