Buy-In
买入
Buy-in is the entry cost to play a poker game. Cash games typically have minimum and maximum buy-ins (often 20-100 big blinds). Tournament buy-ins are fixed with various prize pool structures.
Example
A $1/$2 cash game might have a $100 minimum and $500 maximum buy-in.

Calling the big blind to see the flop instead of raising.
VPIP (Voluntarily Put Pot In)
The percentage of hands a player voluntarily puts money into the pot.
